Sweet Treat for Chocolate Lovers!


Had a tough day? Busy at work? Been running around after everyone else?

SO, now it's time to do something for you!

To rejuvenate, relax and repair, chocolate is the ideal Sweet Treat.

But wait! Don't eat it, your thighs won't thank you for that!

Instead, use it to pamper yourself as chocolate is very good for the skin! In its richest form - and we're talking 70 per cent cocoa and upwards - chocolate is packed with anti-oxidants, those wonderful things that are thought to help to give us healthy hearts, prevent cancer and slow the effects of ageing. But did you know that the cocoa bean actually has twice the amount of antioxidants found in red wine, three times the levels found in green tea, and five times those found in black tea?

If you'd prefer to have a go yourself, try these recipes for when you have that hour to yourself and want to indulge in some chocolate time!

Chocolate Body Mask

This Body wrap is the ultimate in luxurious relaxation. Simply rub it all over the body, wrap with a towel and relax while your body absorbs all the richness of this wrap leaving your skin soft, moisturised and cleansed.

You will need:

375g Block of Cooking chocolate
500ml of Fresh Cream
1/2 cup of Fresh Milk (optional)

Melt the chocolate down using a double boiler method. Take it off the heat and stir in the cream.

If your mix is too thick add a little more milk till it is the consistency of a thick spreadable cream.

Allow it to cool to a comfortable warmth for your body.

Rub over your body, wrap yourself in a towel (to maintain the heat)or a silver heat blanket.

Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Rinse off with warm water.



Chocolate Bubble Bath - do not eat!!

200 ml./1 cup of unscented bubble bath
75 ml./third of a cup of unsweetened soya milk
70g./3 oz. of dark chocolate (chopped)
* Optional:- add some cinnamon or ginger for a more stimulating bath

Heat the soya milk and add in the chopped chocolate, stir well until melted. Do not boil!
Allow to cool.
Mix with the bubble bath.
Pour into the stream of water as you fill your bath.
