It's Time to Take an Hour and Pamper Yourself!
Isn't it lovely when everyone's either out of the house or involved in their own thing for long enough that you know you have a solid hour to retreat to the bathroom, and have a good old pamper session? What could be better than scented candles, bubbles in the bath, a home facial, maybe even a pedicure thrown in for good measure! What I will do is bring you some ideas for your next pamper session, what to use, things you can make, and recommendations for pure indulgence, so hold onto your bath towel and read on... Firstly, what's your mood?? If you want to set the scene, start with scented candles, either what you have (as long as you really like their smell) or if you have a choice, choose whichever suits your mood of the moment.
I suggest Jasmine if you just want to feel a little happier, it is thought to lift depression and boost confidence, and help with sexual problems, so if this pamper session is the prequel to a little something later, go for it!I also like orange-y smells, which are always uplifting, so look at Bergamot, or for a real zing the citrus is always fabulous: lemon, lime or grapefruit will really get you going. If I'm planning a pamper session, though, it is usually about feeling good and relaxing, so why not try try vanilla, or lavender - age-old favourites.
Now you've chosen the candles you need to dot them around the place: on the side of the bath, the sink, I even put them on the loo seat! Start to run your bath just before you light them, and once again it's time to choose a fragrance to match your mood: if you have a set which includes candles and bubble bath in all the same scent, fantastic: go for the whole kaboodle! If not, it can be just as good to mix and match and is also a sure-fire way of suiting your own individual taste and mood! Start to run the bath, pour in your bubble bath so it gets nice and agitated to make as many bubbles as possible, or bath oil if you prefer, and whilst it's running grab your thick towels, floor towel, dressing gown, and everything else you plan to use, close the bathroom door, so that the smells and the warmth concentrate in just one place, strip off, light the candles, it's time to begin!
